BrandAtlas uses a simplified Natural Earth-style 110m dataset for its interactive map. Map lines and labels are functional references, not statements of sovereignty or political position.

Neutral display policy

Disputed borders are shown using the source dataset's neutral, small-scale geometry. BrandAtlas does not resolve competing claims. Labels may be shortened, omitted, or grouped where a commercial placement could reasonably imply endorsement.

Restricted positions at launch

Administrators can exclude or freeze sensitive positions—including active conflict areas and territories under international sanctions—without assigning them an owner. Crimea, Kashmir, Taiwan, Western Sahara, and other contested areas require jurisdiction-specific legal and policy review before monetization.

Reporting

Businesses and visitors can report inaccurate labels, harmful placements, sanctions concerns, or impersonation. Production launch should include a staffed abuse inbox, response SLA, audit trail, and emergency freeze control.

Data limitations

The map is generalized for a global marketplace and is not suitable for navigation, legal boundaries, property records, or diplomatic use. Source versions should be recorded and reviewed before each material release.
